LMD - Agreement

Electronic Labour Exchange - LMD Web Application is an Internet based Application used to collect detailed information relating to employer workplace and retrenchment.

This document details the policies of the Labour Department of Malaysia regarding Internet privacy issues to help users understand the roles that technology plays in the collection and use of information provided. The Labour Department of Malaysia wishes to ensure user confidence by promoting the principals of disclosure and fair information practices at our site.

We collect information that users provide voluntarily to us, including Registration Information / Company Profile, the user(s) Annual Employment Returns and Retrenchment Reporting. The Labour Department of Malaysia is committed to protecting user privacy and safeguarding users' personal information. Therefore, the Labour Department of Malaysia will handle user data with fullest responsibility and care. The Labour Department of Malaysia encourages its user(s) to become completely familiar with, and to review continually, the departments Privacy Policy. It is therefore important that the user(s) understand and agree to the fact that :-

a)	All information provided may be subjected to review by officers of the Labour Department of Malaysia to establish authenticity. Any attempts by the user(s) to falsify details especially those pertaining to Company Profile, AER details and / or Retrenchment Information will be investigated and legal action may be ensued by the Malaysian Government if necessary.
b)	All information provided could and would be used for statistical analysis by the Labour Department of Malaysia.
c)	Registration Information - The Labour Department of Malaysia requires user(s) of its services to supply personal information during the Account Registration process. Specifically, users must supply the following: user selected login ID and password, workplace name, email address, city and state. These are vital to the LMD Web Application for internal verification of user identity.
